Sport Fishing Charters in North Carolina
Sport fishing in North Carolina is something the Fin Seeker takes part in usually two different times throughout the year. Oregon Inlet and Hatteras Inlet are the well known inlets where the majority of the native North Carolina fishing charters of the Outer Banks make harbor. Captain Bob and the Fin Seeker make the run down to Hatteras Inlet in the late fall and early spring because the offshore fishing bite is "on" in Hatteras during those months.
Sport Fishing Charters in Hatteras
Depending on how many charters it looks like he has booked will determine how long he will stay for the awesome offshore sport fishing in Hatteras. The charter fishing in Hatteras North Carolina stays hot and the bite last much longer than the sport fishing in Virginia Beach. When the Fin Seeker fishes out of Hatteras Inlet they are usually fishing for big game fish like yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, marlin, dolphin, wahoo, and many of the sport fish listed lower on the page. Captain Bob and the Fin Seeker are usually fishing in Hatteras during the months of October and November in the fall and back fishing in Hatteras in April and possibly May. If you have never been charter fishing in Hatteras NC then you are missing out on a real fishing adventure. Hatteras is home to some of the best charter trips available in the entire Mid-Atlantic region. First of all Hatteras Island locals are about as friendly as they can be. There are a couple hotel and motels in this quaint fishing village that plays host to some of the best sport fishing tournaments on the east coast. And the fishing as if you didn't know is absolutely spectacular and without real long runs to the Gulfstream that flows north just off the Hatteras coast. When fishing in Hatteras you are much closer to the bluewater because the Outer Banks already protrudes into the ocean 60 miles which leaves only a short run to the Stream.
Cape Hatteras Fishing
Captain Bob's home port is Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach for most of the year and if he calls Va Beach home then he would call Cape Hatteras his second home. The fact is Captain Bob has many years of experience fishing in Cape Hatteras waters as well as the rest of North Carolina, including Oregon Inlet. He is a master offshore sportfisherman who's sportfishing resume would include tournament wins and a ton of trophy big game fish caught and or released.
Pictured below are a couple yellowfin tuna as they approach the boat. They will be eventually gaffed by the mate and put in the fish box.
