Now your fishing skills are up against this awesome fish gladiator of the deep, a blue marlin that will do everything he can to free himself. Virginia Beach deep sea fishing is great for marlin but there are many other top species we target on our Virginia deep sea fishing trips. Yes a big blue marlin can bend a rod over double and strip the line off a reel in a blink but so can a bluefin tuna or big yellowfin tuna. Like most of the Virginia Beach deep sea fishing charters we also target yellowfin tuna which can make for a fun day of sport fishing. Lines crossing, tuna diving and swimming under and to the other side of the boat where your buddy is also hooked up and his tuna doing the same thing. Virginia Beach tuna fishing can mean action packed fast fishing mayhem with multiple hookups and when the bite is "on" everybody in your party can catch a fish and often times two.
Inshore Fishing for Striper Fishing in Va Beach
Virginia Beach Inshore Fishing is for fall and winter striper fishing only!
When Captain Bob isn't fishing offshore you will likely find him fishing Virginia Beach inshore regions and area hot spots. In the summer months Fin Seeker Charters may go after spadefish which gather in schools around most wrecks and structures in the area. If you don't know about spade-fishing then you should experience it at least once. The fish are usually just below the surface and an average size spadefish is around 8 pounds or so. Everyone can catch them which is why a spadefish charter makes the perfect fishing trip to take the wife and kids on.
Virginia striper fishing season opens up in late fall and continues into the winter months and the striper aka rockfish become the target catch for just about all of the Va Beach charter boats. Striper fishing in Virginia Beach becomes all the talk among area anglers around October or so. With quite a few striper tournaments every year and a couple recent state record striper being caught the VB striper fishing gets all the talk and attention. When you charter the Fin Seeker for a striper fishing trip you can expect Captain Bob to go above and beyond to put your crew on a trophy sized striper.
